How to do silver plating

 Silver plating is done on individual and commercial devils. It is simply done on other items on metal to magnify the look of the thing, increasing the conductivity of any metal, especially in electronic devices. You can do the Subah plating on any item you can think of.


While doing the silver plating of any item, you should take all the safety precautions. You should wear goggles and a rubber April to protect against any accidental splatter. Now connect the wire to the negative terminal of the battery, which is black and has a minus sign on it. Directly attach the clip to the opposite end, which is the cathode. And link it with the item which you want to plate with Silver.


Very slowly for the cathode in the electrolytic solution, full stop and now wait and let the item plated with Silver. The time taken depends upon the size of the b u r plating and the voltage of the battery. This whole process can take days or weeks, depending upon the different factors. You have to check the cathode each day whether it is plated with Silver or not. And if you think that the plating process is slow, then change the battery with the new one, which is of high voltage.


Can Silver be plated with gold?


You can do the gold plating on any metal you want. Metals like brass copper or Nickel even tungsten to do the gold plating. Silver items can be gold plated very easily. Various people prefer doing gold plating on the Silver items rather than using other metals for gold plating.


Also, the question comes to your mind that the Silver which you have plated with gold is worth anything, then the answer is yes if you are looking to resell your gold plated jewelry item in the future. Then the truth is gold plated Jewellery is not a profitable option.


The gold plated server can be failed and Danish with time and will attain its natural brightness. This is a common thing that can happen with any metal. If you are doing Gold plating on any metal, whether it is Silver, Nickel brass, or copper, plating will fade with time.

  • Gold plating will remove much faster the Jewellery will come in contact with the salty water moisture.

  • After coming in contact with moisture or water, your Gold plating can be easily scratched, and your Jewellery will get destroyed.
