  • Suppose you purchase some jewelry of silver and are not sure that it is real or not, then you can do the magnet test. You simply have to put the magnet above the surface of that metal. If the metal is attracted towards the magnet, then your jewelry is not silver jewelry. It is the fake one as silver does not attract towards the magnet like iron Nickel Cobalt.
