  • Rakahdi


Rakahdi is known as Maang Tikka also known as Borla. This is authentic Rajasthani jewelry which is so famous and mandatory among married women in Rajasthan. It is in a spherical-ball-like shape and its patterns and design are way different from the other simple Maang tikkas.


It is a kind of Rajasthani Maang tikka that is hung in the center of the forehead. It has various designs with colorful patterns and awesome designs. Moreover, this Rakahdi can be made by using various metals like gold, silver, brass, etc, and stones like Kundan, Meena, pearls can be embedded in this. In some Borla, two side chains are there to provide support, also known as Matha Patti, and are worn by the brides in Rajasthan.



  • Nath


Nath is also known as Nathni and is a very important piece of jewelry worn by the Rajasthani married women. This is worn on the left nostrils and a chain is attached to it which joins it to the left ear. It is considered the main part of Rajasthani jewelry. However, Nathan is embellished by the women on weddings, occasions, and festivals. 


In Rajasthan, one of the main festivals for married women is ‘GANGAUR’ in which ladies wear all kinds of ornaments like necklaces, nosering, earrings, and many more. This nose ring is large and round which is designed with Kundan and pearl which gives it a royal and graceful look.


  • Jhala


In-ear, earrings are worn by the Rajasthani people or old people known as JHAALE. They will give the Royal look and are gaining so much popularity presently. In the desi Rajasthani language, they are known as Kaanabl or Jhaale. However, flawlessly they are designed with the Kundan, Pearls, and meenakari work. 


This earring is mostly preferred by the old women of Rajasthan as they can be attached to the ear with a chain so that ear does not have to bear its whole weight. These earrings give a royal look with the taste of tradition. However, you cannot wear them everywhere hence you need different earrings.


  • Kanthi Necklace


Kanthi is one of the famous Rajasthani necklaces. Kanthi is also known as the Rajputana necklace having a square or triangular shape. Rajput's family bride has to wear this necklace as it is mandatory and ritually worn by them.


This necklace is made of gold having Kundan and other gemstones embellished in it. Moreover, earlier Royal families or Rajputana families started crafting these necklaces as Royal charm. In addition, they require skillful craftsmen to make these necklaces.


  • Anklet


Anklets are one of the most important things for all women whether they are married or not. Normally ladies wear lightweight chain-type anklets. While tribal Rajasthani Kada type anklets which are having so much weight and look like round Kada of silver.
